New Fleet presentation KLM Flight Academy

KLM today officially celebrated the arrival of its new Single Engine fleet and the expansion of its Multi Engine fleet. With as many as 12 new single-engine type DA40 teaching aircraft and six multi-engine type DA42 aircraft, KLM Flight Academy is committed to making its flight training more sustainable.

This is because the aircraft are not only quieter and more fuel-efficient to operate, but also offer the option of flying on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Moreover, they will stop using leaded petrol. During a festive moment for invited guests and the press in attendance, various presentations focused on the sustainable ambitions of the flight school, parent company KLM, SAF, the development of electric flying in small aviation and the sustainable innovations of Groningen Airport Eelde.
