Airport authority & Fees
The airport authority is located under the control tower and is responsible for order and security at the airport. You can also pay your landing fee at the harbour authority. You can pay by credit card, pin or cash. Fuel can be paid for by credit card or Shell Carnet card.

- Monday to Friday 06:30 - 23:00*
- Saturday and Sunday 08.00 - 20.00 uur*
Please note:
*Outside these opening hours, the airport remains fully open for urgent and medical flights.
*The airport can also handle ad-hoc flights and flights on request outside these opening hours, as Groningen Airport Eelde is part of the critical infrastructure and vital processes in the Netherlands.

Friday 3 April – Good Friday: 07:30 - 21:00
Sunday 5 April – Easter Sunday: 07:30 - 21:00
Monday 6 April – Easter Monday: 07:30 - 21:00
Monday 27 April – King’s Day: 07:30 - 21:00
Tuesday 5 May – Liberation Day: 07:30 - 21:00
Thursday 14 May – Ascension Day: 07:30 - 21:00
Sunday 24 May – Whit Sunday: 07:30 - 21:00
Monday 25 May – Whit Monday: 07:30 - 21:00
Airport charges
New airport fee rates will apply from 1 January 2026. These rates will be adjusted in line with the CBS consumer price index. The rates are valid until 31 December 2026.

General Aviation Fees
For landing an aircraft at the airport, landing fees are payable to the airport operator. The amount of the landing fees is determined by the following factors:
1. The weight of the aircraft
2. The classification of the flight, meaning that a flight may be defined as:
A. cross-country flight
B. circuit flight
C. training flight
Any applicable surcharges:
1. The day and time at which the aircraft lands
2. The noise category of the aircraft
