Check-in desks are always open 2 hours before the scheduled departure time. The check-in desk closing time varies from one airline to another. It varies from 45 to 30 minutes before departure. For the definitive closing times, please refer to the website of the airline concerned. Due to the waiting time in front of the check-in desks, we advise travellers to be present well before the check-in desks close.

Need assistance? Request in time!
If you need assistance, it is important to let us know in good time. When booking your flight, inform the travel agent or airline company of your wishes. The request must be received by your travel agent or airline no later than 48 hours before the time of departure (or arrival) (if 48 hours notice is not given, we cannot guarantee that the services below can be provided). We will then ensure that assistance is available (e.g. wheelchair service) when you arrive at the airport. -
After an aircraft lands, it usually takes 15 minutes to half an hour for passengers to walk out of the arrivals hall with their luggage. Depending on how busy it is at the time, this may take shorter or longer.

The latest arrival and departure times can be found on the homepage of our website or on teletext pages 769-5 and 769-6.

After the security check you can still make (tax-free) purchases at an EU airport and in the aircraft of a European airline. The airport shop at Groningen Airport Eelde is located behind the security check. Liquids and gels bought after the security check or on the plane will be packed and sealed for you by the seller, if necessary. The seal is valid for one day. If you have to transfer at the next airport, you may not break the seal until you reach your final destination.
Purchases at non-European airports and on board non-European airlines
If you buy liquids and gels (duty-free) at a non-European airport and you transfer to a European airport, you should be aware that your purchases will be confiscated at security control. This also applies to (tax-free) purchases made on board a non-European airline. -
For security reasons, it is not possible to disembark at stopover airports. Passengers should board and disembark at the airport indicated on the ticket.
