Accessibility
Groningen Airport Eelde wants everyone to be able to travel comfortably and with ease – including people with disabilities. That’s why we offer special facilities at the airport. We also believe it's important that our website is easy to use. On this page, you can read about what we’re doing to achieve that.
How are we doing?
Our website does not yet fully comply with the official accessibility guidelines. We're working hard to change that. Some features are already in place:
You can zoom in up to 500% to make pages easier to read.
You can navigate the website using only a keyboard – no mouse required.
Website text can be read aloud using a screen reader.
What are we still working on?
We want the entire website to meet the accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 level AA). That’s why we’re currently working on:
Better color contrast to ensure texts are easy to read for everyone.
Ensuring all text and images are read correctly by screen readers.
Rewriting some content in simpler English (language level B1).
A specialized agency is helping us verify whether the website meets the accessibility standards. We’re also checking and improving things ourselves wherever needed.
Do you have any tips or questions?
