Groningen Airport Eelde attaches great importance to safety at the airport. You notice this, for example, when you walk into the departure hall. They check whether you are carrying any dangerous objects. Everyone entering the restricted area is checked. Hold baggage and supplies for the Airport Shop in the protected area are also checked. The 'security awareness training' programme explains why this check is so important for an airport.
The security awareness training programme for the purpose of the airport identity card has been made compulsory by the European Union for all persons working in the protected areas of airports.
Preparing for security test
To best prepare for the security test, it is mandatory to go through the self-instructional programme "security awareness" online. Other forms such as printed versions are not allowed.
