Check-in & luggage
Checking in at Groningen Airport is quick and easy. You can do this online at home or at the airport. At the airport, you can check in and drop off your luggage at the check-in desk.
What time should I check in for my flight?
Check-in desks always open 2.5 hours to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time. We recommend always checking the website of your airline or travel company in advance for up-to-date information. Check-in desk closing time varies from airline to airline. Check-in closing time varies from 1 hour before departure to 40 minutes before departure. For the definitive closing times, please refer to the website of the airline concerned. Due to the waiting time at the check-in desks, we advise travellers to be present well before the check-in desks close.
Book your seat online
More and more airlines allow you to check in online and/or reserve your own seat. If you do not register in advance, the airline will automatically assign you a seat. In the case of automatic seating, it is possible that not all of your travel group will be seated in the same row. Check your travel documents or the website of the airline concerned to see whether you can check in online and/or reserve your seat in advance.
Note! An aircraft that arrives with a delay may not always leave with a delay. So stick to the check-in times indicated. For security reasons, it is not possible to bring your luggage in the morning and return it later yourself. This applies to all flights.
Luggage trolley
At the terminal, you can pick up a luggage trolley so you can easily transport your luggage. After using the trolleys, you can put them back in front of the terminal. For passengers using car park P3 (long-term parking), a separate area is reserved for baggage trolleys. These are located in the car park itself.
Flight monitors
You will find monitors in the terminal showing the arrival and departure times of the various flights. Keep an eye on these for your latest information.
Luggage rules
