Alanya (Gazipasa Airport)

Alanya is located in the south of Turkey, between the beautiful blue sea and the Taurus Mountains. Alanya is a much-visited holiday destination by both tourists and the Turks themselves. The city has developed considerably in recent years and offers a wide range of options. You will find many types of restaurants and hotels, there is a vibrant nightlife and there are beautiful sandy beaches.

Alanya is located between the seaside resorts of Side and Antalya. Due to its practical location, you can also explore these Turkish resorts during your holiday.

Alanya has two main beaches. On the western side of Alanya is Cleopatra Beach. This elongated and rather wide sandy beach is located on clear blue waters and is a so-called 'Blue Flag Beach'. This means that the beach meets the strictest environmental requirements. You can find sunbeds with umbrellas here, there are kiosks for refreshments and there are several options for water sports. Cleopatra beach is by far the most popular beach in Alanya.

To the east of Alanya's peninsula lies Keykubat Beach, also known as the eastern beach. It is slightly less crowded here than at Cleopatra beach, the sand is slightly less beautiful and the beach is considerably longer. As the sea deepens very gradually here, east beach is popular among families with younger children.

On the eastern side of the peninsula is another small and quiet pebble beach. This beach is not as crowded in the early and late season and offers great views of Alanya and the harbour. In the summer months, it does get crowded here.

There are also two smaller beaches near Alanya. Incekum beach is ideal for families, as the sea only starts to get deeper from about five metres from the surf. Beach beds and umbrellas can be used for a fee. About five kilometres from the centre is Ulas beach. This sandy beach is considered one of the nicer beaches in the region.
