SkyAlps connects Groningen Airport Eelde with Bolzano in the Dolomites
Italian airline SkyAlps is expanding its network with a direct connection between Groningen Airport Eelde and Bolzano, the gateway to Italy’s impressive Dolomites in northern Italy. From late April until early September 2027, the destination will be served twice weekly in cooperation with Italian airline SkyAlps.

With the addition of Bolzano, Groningen Airport Eelde is responding to the growing demand for destinations that combine nature, culture, gastronomy and relaxation. The city of Bolzano, located in the region of South Tyrol, is surrounded by the spectacular mountain scenery of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can enjoy extensive hiking and cycling trails, picturesque mountain villages, vineyards, local culinary specialities, and a unique blend of Italian and Austrian influences.
We are delighted to add Bolzano to our destination network," says Jonas van Dorp, Commercial Manager at Groningen Airport Eelde. "The Dolomites are among Europe's most beautiful mountain regions, offering visitors a wonderful combination of nature, relaxation and culture. We look forward to giving travellers from our region the opportunity to discover this beautiful destination with direct flights from Groningen Airport Eelde."
Maximilian Alber, Director of Sales & Marketing at SkyAlps, is equally enthusiastic: "We are pleased to expand our route network into the Dutch market, where we see growing demand for our destination. With flights on Mondays and Thursdays, this connection is ideal for a long weekend, a midweek break or a longer holiday. Travellers can book individual tickets via SkyAlps or choose a complete holiday package through SkyAlps Holidays."
The journey itself begins on a relaxed note. At Groningen Airport Eelde, passengers benefit from short walking distances, convenient facilities and quick airport procedures, allowing their holiday to begin the moment they arrive at the airport. The airport's welcoming atmosphere and personal service provide travellers with a comfortable and stress-free start to their journey.
