The area includes parts of counties such as Galway, Clare, Limerick and Kerry and is particularly famous for its rugged coastline, green hills and picturesque villages.
Explore beautiful Connemara in counties Galway and Mayo, discover the dramatic mountain scenery of Sligo and Donegal further north-west, or cross the border into Northern Ireland to visit the Giant’s Causeway.
Ireland also has a rich cultural heritage, including traces of ancient Celtic culture. Immerse yourself in Irish life, visit local pubs and enjoy traditional music, a welcoming atmosphere and friendly locals.
Natural beauty
Ireland’s west coast is home to some of the country’s most impressive natural attractions. The Cliffs of Moher, part of a UNESCO Global Geopark, rise around 200 metres above the Atlantic Ocean.
